  1. I saw that you had Seneweb saved as one of your bookmarks. Have you seen Afrigator? It aggregates Africa-focused social media and news. You can also choose to see only certain regions like Senegal.

I also noticed that you hadn’t added anyone to your network yet. For those of you that haven’t added anyone to your networks, you’re missing out on a cool feature of delicious!

For instance, let’s say I want to find more info and news on participatory culture, then maybe I’d want to ‘follow’ Howard Rheingold’s delicious account. That gives me access to all the bookmarks that he’s saved – a plethora of information. Information sharing is the name of the game, and it’s way we can expand our horizons just by using the power of the network.

So, how to do that – first find people you want to follow. In this case, let’s start with Howard Rheingold’s delicious account. Log in, then go to that page: http://del.icio.us/network/hrheingold and click “add hrheingold to your network.”

Now, when you click on “your network,” you’ll see his bookmarks. What I like to do, is look at my friend’s networks and see who they’re following as well, because maybe there are others who have similar interests etc. So, for example, you can go to http://del.icio.us/network/hrheingold and click on “view hrheingold’s network” and see who they’re following.
Then I’ll click on some of the people and if I like what they’ve bookmarked, I’ll add them to my network. It works like that.

    Happy information sharing! 🙂

  2. Thanks Josephine, I checked out the Afrigator and Howard’s. Now I am trying to find my way through Wiki. I wrote a piece about an artist I know and he’s not represented there. hopefully, I will be able to get it in by tonight.
